Web email client and Quarantinue Manager
How to switch from Web email client to Quarantine Manager?
Click the Options (second rows from the top). Click the View Spam Summary option.
How to switch from Quarantine Manager to Web email client?
Click Email Admin menu and Webmail sub-menu.
What is the single sign-on mean?
One user and password share between Web email client and Quarantine Manager. When Europa is integrated with LDAP (or Microsoft Active Directory), users use same LDAP user-id and password to logon.
Logon Session and the Time Limit
Why logon session has time limit?
Different organization has different security requirement. By default, Europa uses 8 hours (from the first logon) as session time limit. The logon session will be expired if user does not interact with Europa.
Can I set my session has no limit?
No, only the administrator can set domain base User Session Time Limit to Never.
Can I logon to two user IDs within one browser?
No, only one active logon session per browser. The second logon user session will take over.
Can I use two different browsers to logon two different user ID?
Yes, for example, logon admin with IE and logon personal ID with Firefox.
Can I logon an user ID from two machines?
Yes. The user should aware the concurrent change behaviour.
Why I have to logon every time even my session time limit is not expired?
Close the browser by either close the window or close the tab. Do not click the Sign Out icon or link. It means clearup the user session, therefore, the user needs to logon again next time.
Forwarding incoming emails
How to forward email to my PDA?
- Administrator enabled email forward option (per domain base).
- Email Admin menu and Forwarding Service sub-menu.
- Check the box and fill-in the forward address field.
Under what condition my email with forward out?
Domain forward option is enabled. user defined the forward address, Virus clean, and not a SPAM (according to personal score rules).
Can I only forward the white-listed sender email?
Yes, just check the White listed sender box in the Forwarding Service page.
Can I forward to multiple email address?
Using ' ; ' (semi-colon) character as separator in the forward address field.

Can Web email client Calender sync up with my Outlook calender?

Can I change my Web email client setting?
Europa uses SquirreMail as Web email client with Outlook look-like skin. The user can change SquirreMail setting: click Options and then Display Preferences, Message Highlighting, Folder Preference, and Index Order.
Can Europa Web email client automatic respond 'out of office' messages?
Can I add (or delete) a new user into Europa?
No, only administrator can add or delete user ID from Europa.
Quarantine Manager
How can I release my quarantined emails?
Select the email and click the Unquarantine button.
Can I customerize my personal SPAM score setting?
The administrator must enable Anti-Spam and this per User Configurable option. The user can then customize his/her Anti-Spam Setup scores.
Can I receive hourly email summary?
Yes, Europa can generate both Daily and hourly email summary: Email Admin > Email Report Scheduler and then select the report generation time.
I do/do not want an empty email summary
If the No email activity box is checked, an empty email summary report will be sent to the user ID. Otherwise, only non-empty email summary report will be sent to the user ID.
In the email report page, how can I add the sender ID to Black/White list?
Just click the icons in the B/W listing column. Note: Using mouse-over popup to verify the action details.
In the email report page, what is the '?' URL link for?
Even the report page already shows the summary of SPAM/virus scan, black/white listing, score. That '?' page shows the details of SMTP information, SPAM and score break down, scan summary, and email header information.
What happen to the email contain virus?
These emails will either be dropped or be quarantinued to administrator's Quarantinue Manager. These emails never be delivery to any user ID. If the user wants to know the details, search the entry in the email report page and click '?' to see the scan summary.
I do not white listed this sender, why Europa shows his/her email is white listed?
Europa supports multi-level group levels from end-user level up to domain level. Even an end-user does not white listed a sender, however, the group admin or the domain admin may white list the sender ID or the domain. This apply to the black listed too.
How do I know who white listed this sender, which cause me to receive this email?
As an end-user, the email report page and the report summary line will show the which group/domain white listed either the sender ID or the domain.
As an administrator, a dynamic analysis tool is provided: Tools > Email B/W Analysis. Select the domain and recipient ID; and type in any sender ID. This tool will analysis (simulate) how this sender ID traverse the Black/White listing and display the result.
Why I receive this email "**ALERT** White_Listed sender XXXX email contains YYYY virus"?
In general, all the infected emails are dropped even from the white listed sender. The email is only a notification for the end-user: just in case he or she is waiting for the email from the white listed sender and the infacted email was dropped by Europa.
Europa does nothing for the white listed sender email even the SPAM score is high. Therefore, the end-user is expecting all the emails from the white listed sender.
Enveloping Email
What is 'enveloping an email' and why do that?
For all the regular plain text or html emails, Europa can add an extra layer to enclose the original email. This technique is called enveloping an email.
With this unique technology, Europa can add the call-back URL (text/icon) to the user emails, so the user can one-click to access their Quarantinue Manager, or add the sender information into the black/white list. Enveloping an Email allows Europa to provide an user friendly and easy to use SPAM manager system access interface.
Why my email is not enveloped and the other people does?
The administrator can configuration: no envelop at all, generate envelop for all user or by selected user ID. Send a request to the administrator to add your ID into the selected user listing.
Why only some of my emails have envelop?
All the white-listed emails will not be enveloped since the user/group/domain give the sender a green light. For the other emails, very low score or tagged email, Europa will add an envelop and then send to the user ID.
Europa will not add envelop to some of the special type of email such as Calender and XML emails.
Can I customize my envelop setting?
Yes, from PSM Setup menu > Personal Spam Management page. Check the Override System Default box and select different envelop mode.
What I want text envelop mode, or top/buttom, etc?
It is personal preference. However, some customers' Exchange is integrated with BlackBerry server. For some end-users, all their incoming emails are forward out to the BlackBerry server. For these end-users, they may like to use the Short Text and Bottom.
When click on the PSM links, it reloaded my current browser page. How do I avoid it?
This is based on your personal settings in your browser. It can be configured as follow:
For Internet Explorer 6: Tools > Internet Options... > Advanced tab > Uncheck Reuse windows for launching shortcuts checkbox

For Internet Explorer 7: Tools > Internet Options > General tab > Tabs section > Click on Settings button > Open links from other programs in: section > Choose A new window or A new tab in current window

For Firefox: Edit > Preferences > Tabs tab > Open links from other applications in: section > Choose a new window or a new tab in the mose recent window
Miscellaneous
I like to use my "Outlook Express" as Europa email client, what is the setup steps?
- Create a new account in Outlook Express. Put the full email address into E-mail address field.
- Select IMAP as the incoming mail server.
- Enter either Europa IP or DNS name in the "Incoming mail" and "Outgoing mail" fields. Ask your admin for these field values.
- Click the "My server require authentication" check-box. Click the "Settings" to add Account Name (full email address) and password.
- In the Advanced tab, "Server Port Number"
- Enter 465 for Outgoing mail (SMTP) and check SSL box.
- Enter 993 for Incoming mail (IMAP) and check SSL box.
